Safeguarding Company Statement
At 23 Alternative Provision, safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and welfare of all children and young people in our care by providing a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment.
Safeguarding arrangements are agreed in partnership with schools, local authorities, and relevant professionals. Our provision is led by a trained Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), and all staff receive regular safeguarding training and updates to ensure a strong culture of vigilance.
We take a proactive approach to safeguarding, using positive behaviour management, emotional regulation, and de-escalation strategies to support pupils’ individual needs and promote emotional safety.
All safeguarding concerns are recorded, monitored, and reported in line with statutory guidance, with information shared appropriately to protect pupils while maintaining confidentiality and data protection standards.
